St Ives Pottery (Bernard Leach) - from 1920
Ian Steel was born in 1937 in Saskatchewan, Canada and studied at the Vancouver School of Art, Design and Pottery. On leaving the St Ives Pottery in 1969, he started a new pottery in Nanoose Bay, Canada. He returned to England in 1977 to establish a pottery at Chudleigh in Devon.
