Susan was born in the North East of England.
For more than twenty years now she has felt compelled to create art. In 2006 her first nervous attempt at painting on canvas proved to be a turning point, leading to a chain of exhibitions across Cumbria, Newcastle and Edinburgh.
Susan chooses to live and work mostly in isolation. It keeps her mind free and and allows her to paint from her imagination.
When starting each new painting I visualise in my mind the key elements of the work and paint directly onto the canvas. I use acrylics because they dry very quickly.
