In 1994 Louise received the Digswell Art Trust Fellowship and set up her first studio in Stevenage. Afterwards with a Princes Youth Business Trust she established an independent publishing business in North London with the aim of promoting her limited edition prints.
West Country subjects provide much of the stimulation for her work and she has now moved from London to Cornwall living on a windy hillside farm. She use vibrant blues and cheerful colours to paint the harbours and beaches of Cornwall and Devon, cats and dogs, small boaty pictures, landscapes and more recently English country flowers.
Gunns Gallery regularly ask her to produce local views especially for us, and we see her now and again to discuss her commissions. Although she has been approached by some of the major publishing companies she is happier working from her Cornish studio where she is more control of her work, picking a few selected galleries to exhibit her work.
