Adam was born in Leicester, England in 1969. After graduating with first class honours from the Kent Institute of Art and Design in 1992, Adam became a successful freelance illustrator for prestigious magazines such as Homes & Gardens, Ideal Home and Country Life. He won the artist of the year award in 1999.
Adam is intrigued by the power and beauty of the sea. He employs a palette of rich, exotic colours to evoke the changing moods and mysteries of the oceans, the ships which sail upon them and those whose lives are entwined with the fortunes of the waves. He is fascinated by the creation of a mythical, magical atmosphere which involves the viewer in the whimsical story of each picture.
We have been lucky enough to have Adam run a couple of art courses with us.
